The Conference and Updating my Site Plan (post #6)
Today I first worked a bit more on my site plan, and started gathering other files together into my site plan folder. In a basic sense, I was looking at files from Taylor’s previous works and pulling what I could use, since she used the same sorts of diagrams and setup that I would use for my site plan.
It was kind of cool how little setup I had to do, it really felt like the only thing I had to do was the stuff that actually was different from previous sites, which makes sense, considering how many companies they go through with these types of things, it only makes sense for them to have an efficient system of information flow. To get a small picture of this, here’s an image of one of the many files in the company
After that, we finally got to meet with the one and only Mr. Client! Here’s a picture of the little conference room we held the meeting in:
The meeting was quite interesting. Of course, I didn’t understand everything, but it was cool to see the dynamic between Dann and the Client.

When we came back I worked with Gayle (mainly since Taylor wasn’t here today) to put together my site plan and add the information we had gathered today at the conference meeting. Again, it was cool to see the system in place, and the rhythm the rest of the staff had achieved with the software.
After that, I fixed up my outline a little, and added a label for where the actual site would be (since I now knew), and put the designs Taylor had already drawn up in the appropriate spot. I took another one of Taylor’s diagrams from a different job and started adjusting it based on the specifications of an electricians hand-written diagram. There was a bit of an issue with that, since some of the components I needed were missing, but I ran out of time to resolve that today.
