        More red lines, yay!


Thursday ~ 5/19/2022 ~ 

        Dann took a vacation day today, so I just watched a bunch of informational videos related to on-site installations and procedures. One series was fairly interesting, as it showed how they added a new pump station to an already existing pipeline. To keep the pipeline in use before and after they installed the new pump station, they had to add new temporary pipes to divert the flow of oil away from a small portion of the original pipeline. Once that is in place, then they can cut out and add new piping that connects to the pump station, meanwhile the oil is still flowing through the divergence pipes. It's really cool to see how they keep everything working, and just how meticulous and thorough they are throughout the process to keep people safe, the workers, and the future people who may drive around on top of the finished pipeline.

Friday ~ 5/20/2022 ~ 


    I made another “Drain-up” diagram for Dann, and he told me that I actually am allowed to show them so below they are in order of me making them (the top from Tuesday the 17th, the bottom from today). I of course did some more red lines as well.
